A manhunt is under way after another man was shot in the thigh in the middle of the day in Sydney’s southwest.
Police believe the 31-year-old man was at a Beverly Hills pizza shop on Thursday about 11am when he was approached by another man before the pair become involved in an argument.
The two men left the area together in a car and a short time later the 31-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his thigh some 200m away at Hampden Street, NSW Police said in a statement.
The alleged attacker fled the scene.
NSW Police believe the attack was targeted and are searching for the alleged shooter who they say is of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance with a solid build.
They have urged anyone with information to come forward.
The injured man was taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
