Peever attacked by outgoing CA director

David Peever has been attacked over his “substandard” performance as Cricket Australia chair by an outgoing director.

Bob Every stood down as CA director in May, but not before taking aim at Peever over his handling of a pay dispute with cricketers, the succession process to replace chief executive James Sutherland, and broadcasting negotiations when he labelled the Ten Network “bottom feeders”.

Peever later offered to resign over the comments – a move rejected by the board.

“The list is long but in my opinion his handling of the MOU, the media negotiations, his ‘fake’ resignation and particularly his handling of succession planning for the CEO leave a lot to be desired,” Every said in an email obtained by News Corp.
