Unconscious driver rescued from car just before it caught fire

Dramatic video shows the moment good Samaritans rescued an unconscious driver from his smoking vehicle just moment before it burst into flames outside of New Jersey gas station over the weekend.

According to the Burlington Township Police, officers responded to the area of Sunset Road and Salem Road on Sunday after receiving reports about a vehicle accident.

Just as officers arrived to the scene, good Samaritans, Larry Scott and Domenique Golden, jumped into action to pull the unconscious driver from the smoking vehicle.

The footage shows the men opening the victim’s car door and pulling him out.

They then drag the man by his arms away from the vehicle and onto a patch of grass outside a Shell gas station as the department’s first officer arrived on the scene to help.

The officer then instructs the two men to pick the driver up and carry him further away from the smoking vehicle.

Moments later, the vehicle burst into flames. The flames continued to consume the car as police officers blocked off the roadway.

Following the rescue, the police department saluted both men ‘for their heroism’.

Police have not released details about the cause of the crash and no other details were available about the victim’s condition.
