A Minnesota man is in a critical condition and was airlifted to a hospital after diving into shallow water in a lake.
Logan Anderson, 19, of Madelia, suffered a possible neck and spinal injury on Wednesday in Lake Hanska when he dove from a pontoon boat into shallow water and hurt himself.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a call at about 3.28pm.
Deputies and first responders arrived at the scene to the south landing area off of Brown County Road 6.
Anderson was transported to North Memorial Hospital by air ambulance with a suspected neck or spinal injury.
North Memorial Hospital tells DailyMail.com Anderson is in critical condition as of Thursday afternoon.
Anderson graduated from Madelia High School where he was highlighted as athlete of the week last year by the local paper.
According to his social media he played baseball, football and basketball in high school.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Hanska First Responders, Madelia Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care.
