Parsonage Lane becomes priciest street in the Hamptons with $15M median price tag

The two dozen super wealthy homeowners along a mile stretch of road in Sagaponack otherwise know as Parsonage Lane, can take extra pride when they pull up this weekend, for it’s official: They live on the priciest street in the Hamptons.

Home to the weekend compounds of such notables as Jimmy Fallon, Parsonage Lane saw the median home sale price rise to $15million in 2018, according to data from PropertyShark.

Known derisively among locals as ‘Parvenue Lane’ due to the ostentatious mansions that have cropped up on former farmland, Parsonage replaces nearby Meadow Lane in Southampton, as being the South Fork’s most exclusive address.

For those who have the bank balance to join the elite on Parsonage Lane, two homes are currently on the market.

The larger property at 232 Parsonage is listed at $29.9million, for a 9,353-square-foot home including 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.

The 7.5 acre property also includes a two-bedroom carriage house, an oversize pool, a two-bedroom pool house, a spa and a 250-year-old barn.

Down the street at 515 Parsonage Lane, an 11,760-square-foot, seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion is asking $10.9 million.

The luxurious home boasts a home theater, stone enclosed wine tasting room, custom bar with billiards, a professional gym, sauna room, steam room and built-in outdoor kitchen with two outdoor stone fireplaces.

The 1.5-acres property includes a 57-foot saltwater pool with spa and an all-weather tennis court.

New residents on Parsonage will be weekend neighbors to NBC late night host Fallon, who bought a home there in 2011 for $5.7 million.

Fallon’s 2.2-acre compound features a 3,500-square-foot main house consisting of six bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, a pool, two guest cottages, a barn, and a four-car garage.

Down the road, 289 Parsonage Lane sold last year for an eye-watering $16.15million.

Set back on two acres down a private approach, the mansion features six bedrooms, all ensuite, 10 baths, three-car detached garage and a finished lower level with theater, wine vault and gym.

Outside, the terraced yard includes a pool and outdoor bar.

Sagaponack as a whole was the most expensive real estate zip code in the nation in 2016.

Last year, it ranked number two in the country, after Atherton in California’s Silicon Valley, according to PropertyShark.

In 2018, the median sale price for a home in Sagaponack’s 11962 zip code was $5.5million, according to the real estate data company.
