Sir Mo Farah has been beaten in a race at a school sports day event by a mystery runner thought to be a teacher.
The four-time Olympic champion was visiting his son’s school in south-west London when he took part in the 60 metre sprint.
A clip shows Sir Mo running in a dead-heat for third place as one man is pictured out in front.
Sir Mo reportedly held back for other competitors ‘so he doesn’t make us look bad’, a source told the Evening Standard newspaper.
The unidentified race winner is reportedly a teacher at the school, the newspaper also reported.
A video of the race was uploaded to Sir Mo Farah’s Instagram page, where it has been viewed more than 75,000 times.
Sir Mo was at the event with wife Tania, who filmed a clip of the competitive sprint.
Instagram users were quick to point out that the winner will get to brag about beating the four-time Olympic gold athlete.
A user commented: ‘Love it !!!!! That dad will dine out on that story now for years !!! That time I beat Mo Farah in a sprint finish’.
