Scotland’s Prime Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has declared that much of the country will go into a Level 4 lockdown from midnight on Monday, with the exception of the island groups, with further steps going into force on Friday. Anyone outside their home needs to stick as close as possible to their home and avoid crowded areas.
Everyone over the age of 12 must restrict outdoor gatherings to two individuals from two families.
Until at least the end of January, all schools and kindergartens will remain closed.
As of Friday, except for the broadcast of a ceremony, funeral or wedding, all houses of worship will remain closed.
At weddings, a maximum of five individuals are permitted.
At funerals, a maximum of 20 individuals are allowed; wakes are forbidden.
Workplace canteens must ensure that, instead of the existing 1 meter, workers are 2 meters apart.
It is important to close ski centers, retail showrooms and clinics providing cosmetic treatments and surgeries.
