Hopeful Grand Theft Auto enthusiasts were caught empty-hand after waiting for a supposed GTA 6 teaser that was seemingly coming on March 25. Fans are now thinking if everything was a ruse, or if Rockstar made other plans.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is the rumored followup to GTA V, which has sold more than 90 million copies and made an estimated £5 billion (US$5.9 billion) since its 2013 launch.

The first indication approximately a March 25 reveal surfaced on 4Chan. The rumors went on a popular unofficial discussion board for Rockstar games, GTAForums, where an anonymous person claimed to be working for the developer.
Even though many passed it off as nonsense, GTA YouTuber MrBossFTW indicated that Red Dead Redemption 2’s screen had been successfully expected on 4Chan too.
To surely get the hype train going, an infamous user named ‘Gonnaenodaethat’ posted a series of claims on GTAForums approximately the March 25 reveal date. On the day of the supposed reveal, he wrote: “3PM Scottish time” (GMT).
As a side, on March 23, several GTA 6 related web sites had been updated. For some very eager fans, this became just about all the confirmation they needed, as they were convinced March 25 will be the day that GTA VI would later be unveiled.
Now, to be fair to the source in question, they never explicitly stated GTA 6 became going to be introduced on March 25. They seemed to indicate as much, but the “leak” made a concrete announcement that something would show up by way of the end of March. Of course, the latter remains in play; however, it now seems doubtful.
On Reddit and on GTAForums, fanatics congregated for the massive unveil – however, nothing got here of it. As they voiced their disappointment, the forums absolutely crashed temporarily, possibly from the overload of traffic.
Previous leaks and rumors have suggested the game will release with the new generation of Xbox and PlayStation consoles later this year. But it wouldn’t happen just yet, either.

On Twitter too, the hype had started out to build, but it turned into all in vain. Some accused the ‘Scottish leaker’ and the GTAForums internet site of deliberately playing up the faux rumors in a bid to get more interest to the discussion board itself.
One user brought a certain rumor to the eye of Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, one of the industry’s most reliable sources. The buzz, in general, has not anything to do with the above information. However, it did make the claim that a GTA 6 sample was going to manifest today. Schreier pointed this out as “nonsense.” Meanwhile, when every other user recommended to the journalist that an improved site could occur this month, Schreier informed the user not to get their hopes up.
Who knows – perhaps Rockstar absolutely did have some thing planned for March 25, however the ongoing worldwide health scenario induced a delay. Or perhaps it all actually turned into simply faked for attention.
