Volvo’s new electric car battery could go FARTHER than a full tank of gasoline.

VOLVO is working on a new type of electric vehicle battery that will allow it to travel over 600 miles on a single charge.

The company claims that the new battery could provide a real-world range of up to 621 miles, nearly doubling Tesla’s capacity. The battery is being developed in collaboration with the Swedish company Northvolt and is expected to be ready by 2025.

The new battery technology will be used for the first time in the next-generation Volvo XC90.

Next year, the new tool is likely to be officially announced.

Simple changes, according to Henrik Green, chief technology officer, will result in “significant benefits.”

He stated that the battery capacity and range would be increased.

“We want to keep increasing the customer benefits of driving a 100% electric Volvo car,” he stated.

“We can minimize weight and maximize space by simplifying the design and integration of our battery cells, allowing for significant increases in battery capacity, range, and charging times.”

With the new system, the time it takes to fill up automobiles should be significantly reduced.

In order to attract drivers to make the move, current charging times are likely to be cut in half.

Volvo will enable bi-directional charging starting with the debut of the new XC90.

Customers will be able to directly discharge surplus electricity from their car battery to the power grid as a result of this.

This means that while electricity output and costs are at their daily peak, drivers can power the system before charging their car when demand is low.

The new battery, according to Mr Green, will provide a “sustainable” boost that will make drivers’ life easier.

It’s Kwik Fits’ Midsommer Madness promotion, which means you can save 10% on your MOT Test with the UK’s #1 MOT tester if you book online.

He warned that the new upgrade will provide “greater range, faster charging, and reduced pricing,” all of which will entice drivers.

“We want to provide our consumers with sustainable pure electric automobiles that make their lives easier and more enjoyable,” he continued.

“We can provide people what they want through clever innovation and collaboration with key partners.
