UK sales charts: Cyberpunk 2077 for Games Retail from the top 10 in a quiet week

A new year has begun, but one thing remains constant: the UK charts for physical games.

Unsurprisingly, the very last week of 2020 – that is, the week everyone spent indoors eating chocolate for breakfast – was a quiet one for boxed game sales. The majority of software has seen a downward trend; after a 55 percent decline, FIFA 21 is second, while a 58 percent drop in sales places Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in fourth position.

Cyberpunk 2077, which has now left the top 10, is perhaps the most visible update. For new games, it is not unusual to see an initial sales increase before dropping off, but it has fallen from #8 to #15 in the quiet sales era. Likewise, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales fell to 11th from sixth. Compared to the previous week, however, some games improved their sales figures. Just Dance 2021, though Grand Theft Auto V is back in eighth, has risen two positions to fifth.

Here are in full the current top 10.
