According to new research from YourParkingSpace, allowing tourists to park on their driveway in Brighton could save drivers £255 per month.
Bournemouth and Skegness residents are projected to earn the second most extra money, around £118 per month.
On average, homeowners in Hastings and Southend on Sea will make £116 and £114 respectively.
Meanwhile, spare spots are in high demand in places like Blackpool, Worthing, and Great Yarmouth, where rivers may all earn £100 per month.
Spots near the beach, according to Harrison Woods, CEO of YourParkingSpace, are “unique properties.”
He claimed that homeowners were in a “great position” to rent out their spaces for “extra revenue on the side.”
“With many people’s summer vacation plans unknown, a staycation will suddenly be the preferable option for millions of Britons,” he said.
“We’ve already observed that parking spaces in seaside resorts are scarce, as drivers compete for available spots.
“However, it does mean that surrounding individuals with an empty driveway are in a prime position to provide a parking solution by renting out their vacant driveway to needy motorists while also making some extra cash.”
According to JustPark, the average monthly income for homeowners in Brighton is roughly £195.
Drivers in Bournemouth could earn £165 a month by renting out their driveway, according to the parking expert.
Skegness, on the other hand, had far lower assessments, with forecasts that drivers could only make £90 per month.
According to data from YourParkingSpace, London is the most profitable city in the UK for renting out a driveway.
In the capital, homeowners might earn roughly £187.86 per month, but this figure could be greater in some desirable places.
However, according to Direct Line Car Insurance, Sheffield drivers could earn the most, with an average of £160.33 a month.
Drivers in London came in second, earning £158.90 a month from the simple scheme, according to their data.
