The world’s fastest accelerating car, the Rimac Nevera, takes to the streets of London for a demonstration run.
RIMAC’S fresh new world-record-breaking electric sportscar made its first public debut in the United Kingdom by taking a spin around London.
On its demonstration run, the replica was seen sailing past prominent sights such as the London Eye and Piccadilly Circus. The automobile even drove through many of the city’s ULEZ zones without incurring a fee.
With a top speed of 258 mph, the Rimac Nevera is the fastest accelerating car that drivers may legally use on the road.
With 1,914 horsepower, the car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 1.85 seconds and 100 mph in 4.3 seconds.
The Rimac’s visit to London is the first time it has been seen outside of Croatia, and it represents the start of a globe tour.
The car will travel to nearly 20 nations in the hopes of finding purchasers for the 150 Neveras that will be sold to the general public.
Rimac claims that “never before has a car like the Nevea” existed, promising “new dimensions in road automobile performance.”
H.R Owen, the UK’s only vendor of Rimac models, assisted in the organization of the London demonstration.
The car will compete in the famed hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend as part of its UK display.
In order to get closer to potential consumers, H.R Owen will organize a series of special statistic displays.
Potential Nevera purchasers will also get a chance to test drive the new vehicle.
H.R. Owen CEO Ken Choo described seeing the car on London streets as a “really special event.”
“Since meeting Mate Rimac and the entire Rimac Automobili team two years ago, we have totally believed in their vision,” he stated.
