Sony has officially revealed the release date for their new flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1. Don’t worry about the price.

SONY’S all-new Xperia 1 III will be released soon, and it will include a number of improvements over its predecessor, including a better camera and more processing power. It does, however, come at a much, much higher cost.

The new Sony Xperia 1 III was first introduced in April, and it comes with a slew of enhancements. This latest flagship features a gorgeous 6.5-inch OLED screen with full 4K HDR support, making it great for binge-watching Netflix shows.

Sony has increased the refresh rate from the previous Xperia 1, resulting in 120Hz technology, which makes browsing through emails and playing the latest games feel silky smooth and devoid of stuffers.

When you turn the Xperia 1 III around, you’ll notice a new triple camera on the back, which now includes a telephoto lens to help with up-close and personal photographs.

The Xperia 1 III has an aluminum and glass body, a 4,500mAh battery that can be fast-charged, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 engine.

So those are the highlights of this new phone, but all of that technology comes at a hefty price.

Sony has announced that its new ultra-premium phone will cost £1,199 without a SIM card. Ouch!

If the price doesn’t deter you, it will be available in Frosted Black and Frosted Purple starting August 19th.

To assist cushion the financial shock, Sony is offering a free pair of award-winning Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones worth £329 to everyone who pre-orders the device.

If spending over £1,100 on a phone seems excessive, the Xperia 5 III price was recently published.

This £899 phone comes with a triple rear camera and a 6in OLED screen that runs at 120Hz.

Because it isn’t 4K, don’t expect your boxset binge to look as good as it does on the Xperia 1 III.

Despite the fact that the screen isn’t as huge as its bigger sibling, the 888 CPU, large battery, and crucial 5G network speeds are all included.

Anyone who buys this phone at launch will get a free pair of Sony WH-H910N h.ear on 3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones worth £250, according to Sony.
