Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 should update RIGHT NOW: A new Android version has been released that addresses key concerns.

Owners of the GALAXY S21 should download the most recent version of Android, which was released this week and fixes a number of serious and dangerous flaws.

A new update for a number of Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S21 series, has been issued. Galaxy owners will be among the first to receive the August 2021 security update, which includes a slew of bug patches.

The update, according to new Google documents, addresses 38 vulnerabilities, including a handful of high and critical fixes. Two critical vulnerabilities, as well as 23 high severity concerns, are addressed in the August 2021 Android patch. The Samsung patch also addresses two vulnerabilities that impact Galaxy smartphones specifically.

One of these flaws, according to SamMobile, is rated as a high severity defect. This problem was caused by the overuse of Initialization Vectors.

The other Samsung-specific vulnerability is a memory exploit with a low severity.

The latest Samsung security patch has addressed both of these Galaxy problems.

Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72, Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy S20 FE (Exynos 990, Snapdragon 865 versions), Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra devices have all received the August Samsung security update.

In the next weeks, the update should be rolled out to more Samsung smartphones. The August edition of the Android Security Bulletin delves into the specifics of the current upgrade.

A high security vulnerability that might allow a local, malicious program to get additional permissions is one of the most significant issues addressed by the patch, according to Google.

“The most serious of these flaws is a high security vulnerability in the Media Framework component that might allow a local malicious program to evade operating system protections that segregate application data from other applications,” the Mountain View firm stated.

“The severity rating is based on the impact that exploiting the vulnerability could have on an affected device, provided the platform and service mitigations are disabled for development reasons or if the vulnerability is successfully exploited.”

For Pixel smartphones, the August Android security update is also available.

From the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL to the Pixel 5, the upgrade is accessible as an over-the-air update. The update also includes a bug fix that prevents Google Assistant from being accidentally activated.

Google didn’t go into detail about what the problem with GA was. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
