Outlook is down: A desktop email outage has been reported as Microsoft updates its software.
OUTLOOK servers are down tonight, with Microsoft providing the most up-to-date information on when services like Hotmail will be restored.
Outlook services are currently unavailable, according to Microsoft’s latest report.
The good news is that the engineering team is investigating the problem, and it appears that standard email services will be restored soon.
The Microsoft support team has provided several further updates, but no ETA has been provided.
Users may be unable to access Outlook.com tonight, according to the official Outlook site: “Users may be unable to access Outlook.com.”
“To lessen the impact, we have rolled back the upgrade and are restarting services.”
Another communication from Microsoft’s customer service staff provides the following information: “Our engineers are aware of the Outlook access issues and are actively trying to resolve them.”
“Administrators can find business user changes in the Admin Center under EX289214.”
Several major outages have already occurred today, with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp being pulled offline for the most of the day.
This occurred all across the world, with users in North America and Europe being most affected. For the most part, the outage has finished.
