New Galaxy Watch features have been unveiled, as well as a crucial date that all fans should be aware of.
SAMSUNG has provided more information about its impending Galaxy Watch upgrade, including a release date that all Galaxy Watch lovers should be aware of.
Samsung has given a sneak peak at what’s coming shortly to its extremely popular wearables, so it looks like an exciting time ahead for Galaxy Watch fans. We previously knew the Korean company was collaborating with Google to improve the software that runs its gadgets, but now we know more about what this implies for users.
Samsung introduced its new One UI Watch operating system, which will deliver a completely new Galaxy Watch experience, during an online unveiling at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
Better app compatibility is one of the new features, with most apps downloaded on phones appearing on the watch face right away.
Other options, such as world clocks and call blocking, will adjust automatically based on your Android phone’s configuration.
Samsung also claims that the unified platform would “open up new features and integrations” with popular third-party apps that can be downloaded directly to your Galaxy Watch from Google Play.
Samsung will also release an updated watch face design tool, which will make it easier than ever for designers to develop new watch faces.
Switching to this new software will also provide a significant performance increase, with speedier launch times and better battery life projected.
“Samsung and Google have a long history of collaborating, and anytime we’ve done so, the experience for our customers has been drastically improved,” said Sameer Samat, Google’s Vice President of Product Management for Android and Wear.
“This is especially true for this new, unified platform, which will debut on Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch for the first time. We’re excited to deliver longer battery life, quicker performance, and a wide choice of apps, including many from Google, to a whole new wearable experience in collaboration with Samsung.”
So that’s the software news, but when will it be published and what devices will it support?
Despite the lack of a specific release date, Samsung has hinted that a new Galaxy Watch is on the way, and that it would be the first smartphone to integrate One UI Watch.
This new wearable will be unveiled during Samsung’s Unpacked event later this summer, with August typically being the month when the company unveils its new products. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
