If your PC is capable of receiving the Windows 11 update, Windows 10 will notify you shortly.
WINDOWS 10 will soon be able to tell you whether or not your computer is ready for the much-anticipated Windows 11 release.
Windows 10 will gain a helpful feature that will tell users if they can get the Windows 11 upgrade. Microsoft is preparing to deliver the next version of its Windows operating system, and the Redmond-based tech giant has already created a Health Check Tool that tells Windows 10 customers whether or not they can upgrade. This app was plagued with issues when it first launched, with large swaths of Windows 10 customers with high-spec PCs reporting that the program told them they couldn’t upgrade to Windows 11 despite the fact that their machine easily met the OS’s basic requirements.
Thankfully, the problems with this software have been resolved.
However, if you’re looking for a quicker and easier way to see if your PC is compatible with Windows 11, Microsoft provides the solution.
According to Windows Latest, the Windows Update menu screen will soon inform you whether your PC or laptop is capable of running Windows 11.
Some users have already been able to use the functionality, as it was made available to testers in the Windows Insider program.
If your PC can run Windows 11, you’ll notice a green tick next to the message “This PC can run Windows 11” in the Windows Update screen.
“Great news – your PC satisfies the minimum system requirements for Windows 11,” it continues.
“As we get it ready for you, the specific timing for when it will be offered may vary.
“Note: Some functions of Windows 10 aren’t available in Windows 11.” Additional requirements may apply to some apps and features.”
This new feature will be a nice addition if you’re unaware with the Windows 11 requirements, which are throwing even the most expert PC users for a loop.
This feature is expected to be included in the Windows 10 autumn update, which might be released in October.
If you’re excited about the Windows 11 update, you should be aware that it has some very high minimum requirements.
The new operating system requires a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is plenty thus far.
It does, however, usually necessitate an 8th generation Intel processor or an AMD Ryzen 2000 or newer processor.
Some CPUs from the seventh generation are also supported.
