Huawei will be launching six new devices during its online event on September 10 at 8:00 a.m. (ET) while the Chinese leading tech company has already started its three-day developer conference. Both events will be on livestream at various social media.
Among the products that will be launched in the Huawei Seamless AI Life Product Launch event is the Huawei FreeBuds Pro version, which vows to improve the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a welcome upgrade as it lacked in the FreeBuds 3. GSM Arena reported that the Huawei FreeBuds Pro will be available in Silver, White, and Black. Their superior ANC feature has been the focus of the teaser campaign.
There will be a couple of watches that will be launched. First is the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, while the other is more like a smart band design, just like the Huawei Watch Fit. Meanwhile, two laptops will be unveiled, but the specs are not yet clear.

Huawei Developer Conference 2020 (Together) or HDC Together is currently on-going and will run from September 10 to 12. Included in the agenda are the discussions on the latest HMS Core 5.0, EMUI 11, and other exciting technologies.
One of the highlights on the first day of the developer’s event is Huawei’s confirmation of its highly-anticipated HarmonyOS 2.0, which could come to smartphones by 2021.
This is great progress as HarmonyOS was initially provided in TVs, smartwatches, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Despite various sanctions and backlashes, the development of HarmonyOS 2.0 has rapidly accelerated.
“The beta version of HarmonyOS 2.0 will be available on September 10th for developers, but will be available for smart TVs, watches, and head units,” said Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group. He also said that the SDK tools and simulators of HarmonyOS 2.0 will be available to smartphones by the end of 2020. “Next year we will see smartphones running HarmonyOS 2.0,” Mr. Yu added.
According to the CEO, some of HarmonyOS 2.0’s upcoming features include improved voice recognition, fully adaptive user interface, and device-to-device file transfers.
Meanwhile, HarmonyOS will also be open source like that of AOSP, which the firm used heavily for its smartphones after Google cut-off its services in 2019. It is still unclear how existing Huawei smartphone owners would benefit from this update, but it is also possible that this might be exclusive only for China as there is still no announcement when HarmonyOS 2.0 will be launched globally.
Top Huawei executives will come as speakers in the event. To watch the webinar, just click on the link: HDC Together.
