Hitman 3 has launched globally, and inevitably, IO Interactive’s servers are on fire.
The game includes a utility that allows you to transfer your progress from Hitman 2 into the threequel, but the Danish developer’s website has gone offline. Much of the gameplay also relies on an Internet connection, so inevitably the organisation’s servers are fried.
We’re on it.HITMAN 3 has arrived and everyone wants to play at once. We’re tracking and will have everyone in the game, with their progress as soon as possible.❤ pic.twitter.com/Te7K8pRPyj— IO Interactive (@IOInteractive) January 20, 2021
The company put up a message explaining that it’s tracking the issues and “will have everyone in the game, with their progress as soon as possible”. Obviously this is frustrating, but try to exercise a bit of patience and give the team time to steady the ship.
The title’s well worth it, as explained in our Hitman 3 PS5 review, and we’re sure you won’t have to wait too long for everything to come back online.
