Everyone has been taken aback by this first-of-its-kind Android smartphone.

A brand-new Android smartphone is on the way, and it’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Android users already have a lot of options when it comes to choosing their next phone, but they’re about to get one more to add to their Wish List, and it’s caught everyone off guard. Qualcomm is best known for creating and manufacturing the CPUs that power many of the most popular Android smartphones, but they’ve now taken the extraordinary step of producing their own competitor device.

This one-of-a-kind phone is for aficionados of Qualcomm’s supercharged SnapDragon brand, which can be found in devices from OnePlus, Samsung, Sony, and other companies. The new phone, which comes with the company’s own Snapdragon 888 processor, access to super-fast 5G data technology, which can download movies at speeds of over 6Gbps, and a triple-lens camera with Sony technology, will be available to anyone who signs up for the US firm’s Snapdragon Insider program.

Qualcomm claims that this camera will provide customers with professional-quality photos, as well as the ability to record video in spectacular 8K resolution. There’s also some clever AI in there, so the camera should be able to set itself up correctly for every photo.

Other features include a 4,000mAh battery that charges quickly, high-performance graphics, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound technology, which Qualcomm claims will deliver superior audio.

A 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 800 nits for better outdoor viewing and full HDR10 and HDR10+ certification is available for your nightly Netflix binge.

“For Snapdragon Insiders who look behind the hood,” Qualcomm claims they’re unveiling this phone, which was designed with ASUS’ aid. Who are the front-runners in terms of premium performance and innovation? For people who want the fastest, most globally available 5G connectivity.”

Now, before you hurry to register your interest in this device, there are a few things to keep in mind.

To begin with, it will cost you $1,500, making it more expensive than the Galaxy S21 Ultra or the new Sony Xperia 1 III.

Then there’s the odd inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 CPU, which is soon to be replaced by the company’s new 888+ chip.

We’re not sure why Qualcomm is releasing its first phone without its best-ever chip, but it’s something to think about if you’re thinking about splashing the cash. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
