Every parent’s nightmare is a young sex predator in a skirt who exploits a school’s transgender policy to rape a fellow student.

I’m all for pastoral care, a little safeguarding, wellbeing, and welfare protection as a parent of schoolchildren, but when it crosses the line into teachers and administrators fooling parents and guardians about what’s going on with their children, I’m sorry, that’s too much.

If such deceit also includes the cover-up of children being raped by their classmates as a result of a progressive school administration’s gender policy, most parents’ rage will reach new heights.

When Scott Smith attempted to raise the issue of his daughter’s rape by a’skirt-wearing’ male student at Loudoun County School in Virginia, the 48-year-old plumber was dragged from the meeting room and ridiculed on social media as some sort of deranged, right-wing nutter after a video of the incident went viral.

Surprisingly, it appears that Smith was correct. The then-14-year-old boy had been detained for assaulting his daughter, but the local sheriff’s department did not publicize details of the attack at the time, owing to the legal position on dealing with two juveniles. As a result, the incident went unnoticed. However, the same boy was later detained at a different school after allegedly assaulting another girl in a classroom.

While it’s disturbing in a teenage guy, the fact that he was able to utilize right-on schools’ transgender rules to obtain access to young girls is the main frightner.

While this may be an unusual occurrence, there is no doubt that predators are aware of the chances provided by gender fluid school rules, and that much closer vigilance is required if we invite gender critical theorists into our classrooms.

That means the cunning school system in achingly progressive Canada that encourages employees to help pupils hide their ‘transgender idenity’ from their parents should be roundly criticized, as should the sleepwalking parents who have been blissfully oblivious of this for a decade.

Because it appears that the Toronto District School Board first released its Guidelines for the Accommodation of Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Students and Staff in 2011 – though it’s only now come to light – and it reads like a gender gestapo manual.
