Do you miss your iPod? The new Spotify and Apple Music apps bring back a vintage gadget.
THE APPLE iPod is one of the most well-known electronic devices ever made. If you miss the glory days of this trailblazing product, the good news is that a new website will transform your smartphone into a player that looks exactly like an iPod Classic, allowing you to play songs from your Spotify or Apple Music accounts through a player that looks exactly like an iPod Classic.
Apple’s iPod is one of the most well-known and significant devices of all time. The Apple iPod was the go-to MP3 player for individuals searching for a premium MP3 player with plenty of style even before music streaming became popular. The famous and revolutionary click wheel, which debuted on the first generation iPod and remained a mainstay through several iterations, made the iPod an instantly recognizable gadget when it was originally released in 2001.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many options available these days if you want to buy an iPod.
In 2014, the legendary iPod Classic was retired, followed by the Nano and Shuffle in 2017.
Apple presently only sells the iPod Touch, which appears more like an iPhone thanks to its big touch screen and lack of a click wheel.
If you’ve been aching for a classic iPod and have been in a nostalgic mood recently, we’ve got some excellent news for you.
You can turn your smartphone into an iPod-style music player that can be linked to a Spotify or Apple Music account thanks to a new website.
Tanner Villarete, a frontend developer, created this nostalgic-inducing page.
Villarete’s website looks like a sixth-generation iPod Classic, and you can use it to listen to music from your Spotify or Apple Music accounts.
To navigate through all of the songs in your library, the iPod player has a functional click wheel.
It even has a classic Breakout-style game that can be played.
The iPod player also has a functional Cover Flow menu, which allows you to browse through all of the album artwork from your Spotify or Apple Music libraries using the click wheel.
If you wish to try out the iPod player on the website, go here.
To use the function, you must first login in to your Apple Music or Spotify account.
Deezer and YouTube Music are two other streaming services that aren’t supported.
