Developer Hideaki Itsuno of Veteran Capcom has again hit, teasing his next social media project. With the excellent Devil May Cry 5 being his latest work, Itsuno is best known as the director of the Devil May Cry series and Dragon’s Dogma.

But now the Devil May Cry 5 has stopped, what’s next? “The new project in the works in parallel is on the right track. Still a long way to go, but stay tuned for the announcement!”
Happy new year! Were you playing DMC5 SE? Play it when you get the latest hardware. Practise with the Vergil DLC until then. The latest project is on the right track in the parallel works. It’s still a long way to go, but stay tuned for the message! 31 December 2020 Pic.twitter.com/GIjWV4MbWk- Hideaki Itsuno (@tomqe)
Itsuno doesn’t give away anything, but an educated guess says it could very well be Dragon’s Dogma 2.

As early as 2019, the respected director indicated the presence of the sequel, and the rumors about the production of the game just won’t die down.

Not to mention the different leaks related to Capcom that emerged last year, several of which indicated that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is true.

It is probably a little too early to get excited, in any case.

As Itsuno notes, it’s “still a long way off.”
