Are you considering purchasing a Chromecast with Google TV? You might want to hold off.

If you’re considering about getting a Chromecast with Google TV, you might want to hold off for a while because something better might be on the way.

According to a fresh leak, Google may be working on a new Chromecast device. Last year, the Chromecast with Google TV dongle was released, bringing with it a significant boost for long-time Chromecast users. The most recent Google streaming device was a total reimagining of Chromecast, with a beautiful new UI, a remote control, and a wide range of apps to choose from.

If you want to upgrade your smart TV setup, the Chromecast with Google TV is available in the UK for £59.99.

If you were planning to buy Google’s latest and greatest streaming device, you might want to hold off for a little while.

That’s because the Mountain View company could be working on a new Chromecast device.

According to Notebookcheck, Google has had a new product certified by the Federal Communications Commission in the run-up to its next major event (FCC).

Google GJQ9T is the codename for this strange device, which is defined as a ‘Wireless Streaming Device’ with Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.

Apart than that, little is known about the device, though it has been speculated that it could be a new Chromecast streaming dongle, possibly a successor to the Chromecast Ultra.

The strange product’s FCC listing of a single USB connector for 5V charging is supposed to be a clue it might be a new Chromecast Ultra.

If Google decides to bring the Chromecast Ultra back, the key selling point will have to be determined.

Previously, the 4K functionality was the main distinction between the Chromecast Ultra and the ordinary Chromecast.

The Chromecast with Google TV, on the other hand, can broadcast content in up to 4K HDR quality.

If Google is working on a new Chromecast, it might be released alongside the Pixel 6 later this year.

When Google formally revealed the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro at the beginning of this month, it startled everyone.

So it’s unclear whether Google will have its annual Pixel event in September, where a new Chromecast could be announced.
