One day, on the first attempt, we can get the spelling of ANNO: Mutationem. Hopefully in time for the version of PlayStation 5, which developer Thinking Stars has now confirmed. In the third quarter of 2021, it will be published along with the last-gen editions, which means a wait for the team taking full advantage of Sony’s China Hero Project scheme. The news on its Twitter account was announced by Lightning Games, the publisher of ANNO: Mutationem, citing an improvement in the overall experience as the reason.
This is a very tough decision because we all love the game and can’t wait for our players to get their hands on it, but before we feel it’s ready, we don’t want to release the game. We plan to improve the game’s overall experience, which means that it will need to re-plan and refine a large amount of game content.
At the same time, for next-gen, we will continue to optimize.
We apologize for having to push ANNO: Mutationem’s release date back to the third quarter of 2021. We have set new deadlines and are working hard on the release! Once again, thanks for joining us on this great journey, we wish everyone a happy and safe new year! Pic.twitter.com/USbHaOLmxh- 31 December 2020 Lightning Games (@LightNgames)
