A 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by a dog and had ‘unsurvivable head and neck injuries.’

An inquest heard that Jack William Lis died after a dog attack at a property in Caerphilly, despite paramedics’ best efforts to save him from “unsurvivable injures.”

An inquest heard that a 10-year-old kid who was murdered by a dog sustained “serious injuries to his head and neck.”

On Monday, Jack William Lis sadly died as a result of a dog attack at a residence in Caerphilly (November 8).

Jack was apparently outside his house playing before walking inside a friend’s house and being mauled by the animal, according to the hearing at Newport Coroner’s Court.

Despite paramedics’ best attempts, the boy died at around 4.15 p.m. from “unsurvivable” injuries, according to Wales Online.

The coroner declared the circumstances surrounding Jack’s death “violent and unnatural,” and an inquest was duly begun into his death.

Officers with weapons destroyed the dog, and no other animals were involved in the incident.

Lee Jenkins, the dog’s previous owner, described the dog as a “beast” and told the Mirror that he had voluntarily spoken to police.

Officers were unable to establish what type of dog the animal was, but it was described as a “big and powerful dog that was acting violently at the site,” according to Chief Super Hobrough.

The “lovely, sweet boy” has been remembered by Jack’s family.

“With so much grief and before close friends and family see his name in the news, I have to inform our lovely child Jack was taken so terribly yesterday,” Emma Whitfield posted on Facebook.

“It wasn’t our dog, and it didn’t happen at our house.” He was out to have a good time.” “Our precious, sweet child,” she said, “we love you so much.”

With dozens of flowers left at the spot, the close-knit community has voiced its sorrow and provided support to the boy’s family.

“Way too soon,” one tribute read. “Peace be with you, tiny man.” “What a gorgeous and well-mannered boy, Jack,” observed another. I’m thinking about you and your family during this difficult time. “I’m so depressed, I’m going to sleep tight.” “I’m sure members are aware of the awful events that occurred yesterday in Penyrheol in my constituency, when a young 10-year-old kid was attacked and killed by a domestic dog,” Hefin David, a member of the Senedd for Caerphilly, stated.

“The boy’s name is Jack Lis, and I’m sure everyone in this chamber wishes to express their sympathies and best wishes to him.” The news is summarized by Brinkwire.
