Wolves defender Cameron John is making a surprise permanent move to Doncaster Rovers.
The 21-year old spent last season on loan at the League One club but had been the subject of interest from Championship sides too.
Wolves rate John but the competition for places, with further additions planned, is only going to get greater.
They have decided to sell for a nominal fee but include a large sell-on percentage in the deal, understood to be around 30 percent.
Barnsley, Ipswich Town and Wimbledon had all made enquiries for the young left-sided centre back but he has opted to link up again with manager Darren Moore.
The Doncaster boss is understood to be delighted at fending off the rival competition and particularly at being able to strike a bargain deal for a permanent signing.
John is expected to have a medical on Friday ahead of agreeing terms.
