Wolves reminded Morgan Gibbs-White of his Swansea loan and the midfielder will now battle for a place in the injury-plagued squad of Nuno Espirito Santo and will be qualified to play against Crystal Palace in Friday’s FA Cup tie.
After coping with a foot injury in Wales, Gibbs-White made six appearances for the Sky Bet Championship Swans, scoring one goal. “The youngster impressed in the first half of the season with the Championship side and now returns to Nuno Espirito Santo’s first-team squad at Compton Park,” a Wolves statement said. “The Wolves academy graduate scored one goal and provided another assist in his first four games for the Swans before an injury cut short his time in Wales. “The 20-year-old will now return to Wolverhampton for the second half of the season after recovering from a foot injury on Saturday. As Wolves battle with a variety of injuries, Gibbs-White returns to the Molineux. Leander Dendoncker has been out with a knee injury for almost a month but has returned to training, Daniel Podence may be out with a calf problem for several weeks, Willy Boly has been out with a hamstring problem since mid-December, Jonny (knee) and Raul Jimenez (fractured skull) are long-term absentees.
