Arsenal receives a three-fold boost for Dusan Vlahovic, with Fiorentina open to an ‘immediate’ transfer.
ARSENAL have been given several advantages in their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic this month.
According to reports in Italy, Arsenal has received a triple boost in their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic this month.
Arsenal is hoping to sign the Fiorentina striker in the current transfer window rather than in the summer.
Following his sensational goalscoring form in 2021, Vlahovic has been linked with a number of top clubs across Europe.
Vlahovic scored 33 Serie A goals in a calendar year, tying Cristiano Ronaldo for the most in the Italian top flight.
The 21-year-old striker has been linked with Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona.
Arsenal’s need for a new striker, however, may be greater than that of the other clubs interested.
In the summer, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah’s contracts expire, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been told he can leave for the right price.
Last week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Arsenal had made a £46 million bid for Vlahovic, which included Lucas Torreira.
Despite the fact that the player’s contract had only 18 months left, Fiorentina were adamant about not selling him during this window.
However, according to CalcioMercato, Fiorentina are willing to let him leave ‘immediately’ to an interested party.
And, in yet another boost for Arsenal, Juve has all but ruled themselves out of the window race.

Because the Serie A giants won’t be able to afford Vlahovic until the summer, Arsenal could try to sign him six months earlier.
Fiorentina have also identified the player they want to replace Vlahovic, according to CalcioMercato.
They signed Krzysztof Piatek on loan from Hertha Berlin last week.
The Florence club, on the other hand, see Julian Alvarez as a possible replacement for Vlahovic.
Manchester United, as well as other top Italian clubs, have shown interest in River Plate striker Alvarez.
In only 21 league appearances for River this season, the 21-year-old has scored 18 goals and added six assists.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admitted at his press conference last Friday that if the right opportunity presents itself, he would not be opposed to spending this month.
