With a £100 million transfer practically complete, Jack Grealish ‘signs a contract with Man City’ before his medical.

Manchester City has reportedly finalised the transfer of Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

According to rumours, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has signed a contract with Manchester City ahead of his record-breaking move to the Etihad Stadium. After signing the newly-crowned Premier League winners for a sum in the region of £100 million, the 25-year-old is set to become the most expensive English player of all time.

According to trade specialist Fabrizio Romano, the anticipated move is now only subject to a physical after Grealish signed a five-year contract with City on Wednesday.

The required documentation is said to have been signed at club level as well, with Villa agreeing to a nine-figure fee for their prized asset.

Grealish will have his medical and finalize the paperwork on Thursday morning, following which his relocation will be complete.

The England international is said to have been given a new and improved deal by Villa, who are desperate to keep hold of their top player.

However, it appears that he has decided to seek a fresh challenge in City, where he will be coached by Pep Guardiola.

Grealish made a name for himself as one of the Premier League’s most feared strikers while at Villa, where he began his career as a six-year-old.

Last season, he finished second in the division in both chances created and chances generated from open play, and he also drew the most fouls of any player.

After impressing on the international scene with England at Euro 2020, the Birmingham native was inserted as a substitute during the final against Italy.

Grealish’s role at City is still to be determined, but it’s been claimed that Guardiola will rotate him with Ilkay Gundogan in central midfield.

Villa are set to express interest in Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell, who has been mentioned as a potential replacement.

Although the 23-year-old is in the final year of his contract, the Canaries have the option to extend it for another year.

Grealish will complete his physical on Thursday and become City’s first signing of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham are looking for a new manager. In addition, Harry Kane is rumored to be on the club’s radar ahead of the upcoming season.

This week, the England captain has not trained with Spurs. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
