Willian’s agent takes a savage swipe at Arsenal as the winger completes his move to Corinthians.
After leaving Arsenal, Willian has joined Corinthians in Brazil.
Willian’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, has launched a scathing transfer attack on Arsenal following the winger’s departure to Corinthians. After coming from Chelsea last summer, the 33-year-old had a difficult time at the Emirates Stadium.
Willian started his Premier League debut with two assists in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Fulham on the first day of the season.
However, he struggled to establish any meaningful form and quickly dropped down the pecking order in north London, settling for a bench spot in the most of his team’s games after Christmas.
Willian did not appear in any games for Arsenal this season, and his contract was mutually cancelled on Monday.
Joorabchian told talkSPORT on Tuesday that Willian was not the issue.
“He wasn’t looking for a quick buck. He went looking for the project, but it wasn’t there. What player has lately joined Arsenal and hasn’t turned out to be a disaster?

“Willian doesn’t hold it against Arteta; we all want Mikel to succeed.
“They may be upset as supporters right now, but each football fan wants the best for their team.
“At the moment, the project isn’t working; it has nothing to do with Willian.”
After opting out of the final two years of his Arsenal contract, the Brazil international has returned to his hometown club in his homeland.
The footballer was reportedly earning over £220,000 per week at Arsenal and has reportedly not been compensated for his departure from the north London side.
