Cardiff City have won the race to sign Kieffer Moore from Wigan Athletic.
The 28-year-old Wales international is travelling to the Welsh capital for his medical after a £2.1million bid was accepted.
Middlesbrough have also been hopeful of signing Moore while Nottingham Forest and Stoke City also made bids to sign the 6ft 5ins striker.
Wigan are continuing their fire sale of players as they look to cover the cost of running the club while in administration.
Joe Gelhardt was sold to Leeds United on Monday for £900,000 while Sheffield United have had a £1.9m bid accepted for full back Antonee Robinson who has also been considered by Newcastle United and West Brom. Moore has had plenty of interest but narrowed down his options to Middlesbrough, Cardiff and Forest.
However, the prospect of playing for Cardiff and particularly manager Neil Harris, who has pursued him previously, has swayed his decision and he is expected to agree terms later on Wednesday.
