While discussing Logan Paul’s entry into the UFC, Dana White tells Floyd Mayweather to retire.

After his eight-round exhibition battle with Logan Paul went the distance, UFC president Dana White suggested it’s time for Floyd Mayweather to hang up his gloves for good.

In their exhibition bout in Miami on Sunday night, Mayweather was largely expected to thrash Paul.

Despite easing into the battle to offer the fans some rounds of entertainment, Mayweather found Paul to be too difficult a nut to crack, and the fight went all eight rounds.

White confessed that he didn’t pay for the pay-per-view over the weekend, but he did believe it was time for Mayweather to retire.

“I didn’t watch it, but I heard it went the distance, and Floyd retiring is something I’d like to see. He told TMZ Sports, “No more.”

“He should hang up his hat. Floyd should call it a day. He’s had a fantastic career, and to compete in these types of battles is… It’s ridiculous.

While White believes Mayweather should hang up his gloves for good, he is more positive about Logan and Jake Paul, two hugely popular YouTubers who have swept the world of combat sports and polarised the industry by raking in huge paydays and bouts far beyond what athletes with their level of experience should be able to achieve.

Many have criticized the twins, but White said he’s impressed with how they’ve managed to carve out a position for themselves in the industry.

“When you look at those two youngsters, there’s no doubt they take it seriously,” he remarked.

“They put in a lot of effort at the gym. They aren’t just showing up to get a paycheck.”

When asked if he’d consider Logan Paul pursuing his dream of one day participating in the octagon, White confessed that he had a track record in this area, but wouldn’t commit either way.

He admitted, “I don’t know, man.”

“Here’s the thing: that’s not to say I haven’t taken in a 0-0 man and done fights like this before… I’m not sure.

“Listen, I don’t have anything against these kids. These teenagers have found out how to use their YouTube success and popularity to get into and make large money fights – good.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
