West Ham United is the best team in the league when it comes to farting.
West Ham fans outnumber their opponents thanks to a match-day diet of pies and beer, and can create up to 12 farts per game.
West Ham United supporters are outdoing their opponents by farting the most.
Because of their match-day diet of pies and beer – on top of a full English – more than 90% of Premier League fans claim they can’t help but tear through games.
However, Hammers fans, who are known for their chant I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, lead the league with up to 12 farts every game.
This is more than double their average of six per game, putting them one point ahead of Newcastle United, who are in second position with 11 points.
The survey was conducted by 101greatgoals.com, a football news and streaming website.
“We all know football fans like to blow off steam at the game,” spokesman Ben Davies said, “but these findings caught us off guard.”
“Thank goodness football is an outdoor sport; otherwise, the fans would be making a racket.”
“For most supporters, the normal match-day diet of beer and pies must be the source of the problem.”
Burnley fans average nine trumps every game, while Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters are tied for fourth with eight trumps per game. Arsenal, Crystal Palace, and Watford fans are equal for fifth place on seven points.
