Watch Kylian Mbappe’s shock as Neymar misses absolute sitter in PSG’s clash with Atalanta

NEYMAR missed an absolute sitter for Paris Saint-Germain in their thrilling 2-1 Champions League win against Atalanta.

But it was Kylian Mbappe’s hilarious reaction to the miss which caught the eye.

PSG had the chance to go ahead just minutes into their quarter-final when Neymar, 28, found himself one-on-one with Atalanta’s goalkeeper.

The Brazilian – who is the most expensive footballer in history at nearly £198million – set himself up perfectly the pull the trigger and put his side 1-0 up.

But Neymar’s shot somehow missed the target, going well wide to the right of the post.

Spectators could not believe what they had witnessed, and none so more than PSG team-mate Mbappe, 21.

The French striker, named as a sub after recovering from injury, watched on from the sideline as Neymar charged towards goal.

But following the effort, Mbappe raised his hands up before placing them on the back of his head to present a wide-eyed, disbelieving look.

He wasn’t the only one who was shocked, with the rest of the PSG bench also in complete shock.

Boss Thomas Tuchel was far from happy too as he nursed a foot injury on the sideline, looking extremely exasperated with Neymar’s awful shot.

The miss proved costly too as Atalanta ended up taking a first-half lead through ex-Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic.

Neymar’s misery was compounded before the break when he took advantage of a terrible Atalanta back pass before firing a woeful effort miles over the bar.

But the second half saw PSG turn up the heat as a number of attacking subs piled pressure on tiring Atalanta.

The Italians battled bravely but were left shattered when Marquinhos scored an equaliser in the 90th minute.

PSG then broke Atalanta hearts when Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting fired in a winner just moments later.

PSG will now face the winner of RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid for a place in this season’s final.
