Virgil van Dijk has sent a clear message to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Virgil van Dijk, a Liverpool defender, has his own opinions on Chelsea’s transfer policy.

Virgil van Dijk has told Thomas Tuchel that he is unable to play without Antonio Rudiger. The Chelsea defender’s contract expires next summer, and he is yet to sign a new agreement.

Chelsea should make every effort to re-sign Rudiger, despite their interest in Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.

Van Dijk sent a strong message when he complimented the Blues defender and called him one of the finest in the world at his position.

Rudiger is one of the most important players at Stamford Bridge right now, and he has established himself as a major member of Tuchel’s side.

Despite Chelsea’s status as outsiders, he was a key member of the team that helped them win the Champions League last season.

This season, the former Roma player has played every minute in the Premier League.

Rudiger, on the other hand, might be on his way out of the club when his contract expires next summer, with several major teams already showing interest.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in his services and are willing to pay him £400,000 a week.

Van Dijk, on the other hand, believes Chelsea must do all possible to keep the 28-year-old.

When asked who the top defenders are, the Dutchman replied: “There are a lot of capable defenders out there. Sergio Ramos, Thiago Silva, and Gerard Pique are the veterans. The game has changed, and defense is no longer the same.

“Take a look at Laporte and Rudiger, for example. I thought he had a great season last year, and after seeing how he recovered from a knee injury, I have even more admiration for him.” It confirms Rio Ferdinand’s prior statement that Rudiger is the finest defender in the Premier League this season.

“Since Tuchel has come, I think he’s arguably been,” the former Manchester United player remarked on his YouTube channel “..
