United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been urged to make one more signing in order to have a “full” squad.

So far this summer, Manchester United has completed two significant acquisitions.

Dimitar Berbatov, a former striker for Manchester United, has urged the club to make one more addition to complete their team for the coming season. The Red Devils have already had a busy summer, bringing in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, but there are rumors that more business could be done before the window closes.

John Murtough, the club’s transfer boss, got off to a flying start by completing a £73 million move for Sancho, finishing up a lengthy search.

Continuing their winning streak, a contract for World Cup winner Varane has been reached in principle, with a formal announcement coming soon.

Right-back and central-midfield are the only two spots where further depth might be added to the squad.

Berbatov would also like to see another right-sided defender join the club to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the club’s first-choice right-back.

“I am really glad that they are bringing in Raphael Varane from Real Madrid,” the Bulgarian, who scored 56 goals in 149 games for United, told Betfair.

“He has won the World Cup and the Champions League, he has a winning mindset, and he has played alongside some of the best players in the world throughout the years.

“I’m interested to see how he fits into the team and how he complements Harry Maguire.

“Jadon Sancho has already made connections with United’s England players, which is a nice thing to have when joining a new team.

“I’m confident he’ll encourage the others to improve their performance as well.

“The United team is doing well. They might consider bolstering their right-back position.

“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is unquestionably the first choice, but I’d want to see him backed up by a strong back-up who would challenge and push him. Apart than that, I believe they are a fairly complete team.”

Indeed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was rumored to be interested in bringing in a striker to replace Wan-Bissaka, with Kieran Trippier being the primary candidate.

However, it appears that luring him away from Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid, who is a huge supporter of the Englishman, has proven too difficult.

Following a successful loan, Diogo Dalot appears to have been promoted to the position of Wan-understudy. Bissaka’s “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
