Tyson Fury responds to Anthony Joshua’s pre-fight warning

This year, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury hope to fight in a high-profile heavyweight bout.

Tyson Fury has reacted to Anthony Joshua’s declaration that he is “the boss.” The camps of Joshua and Fury are now in talks regarding a potential blockbuster showdown in which the winner will unify the heavyweight division.

After reclaiming the championships from Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019 and successfully defending them against Kubrat Pulev in December, Joshua is the current WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion.

In February 2020, Fury dethroned Deontay Wilder to win the WBC heavyweight title, and he has not fought since.

Joshua delivered an update on the fight to Sky News on Wednesday, telling Fury that he knows “where to come and see the boss!”

“[The pandemic] is nearing the point when things will return to normal,” Joshua remarked.

“We’re looking at June as a possible date. So, if Tyson is serious, as I believe he is, he’ll know where to look for the boss!

“I’m all set. I’m excited for the competition because all I want to do is battle, fight, fight!

“I’m open to anything. My back garden, your back garden, my home turf, the Middle East. It doesn’t matter to me where it is.

“All I want to do now is fight.” I’d like to have that belt. I want to compete with Fury, therefore I’m considering all options.”

“@anthonyjoshua don’t be chicken like you did against @BronzeBomber come out and meet me for battle,” Fury tweeted in response to Joshua’s comments.

“Let me demonstrate what a Boss is all about. On any weekday and twice on a Sunday. #YOUBIGDOSSER”

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn told Express Sport exclusively earlier this month: “It doesn’t have to be in June, it can be in July.” In reality, we’ll have to do two this year.

“July is the very latest, but ultimately, I keep reiterating that we won’t finalize the site until the agreement is completed, but there are negotiations [about location]going on, and it’ll move rapidly.

“Any press tour for this is planned for the end of March or the beginning of April, so we have six weeks to provide a signed agreement and a site contract, which is good.

“At the present, there’s no need to be concerned. It isn’t.”Brinkwire Summary News” once more.
