Tottenham prevents Hector Bellerin from leaving Arsenal on deadline day.

Arsenal has to get rid of Hector Bellerin as soon as possible.

Arsenal’s attempts to sell Hector Bellerin may be thwarted after Tottenham submitted their own trade approach. Spurs want to sell Serge Aurier, and Real Betis, who had a deal in place to sign the Arsenal star, are more interested in the Frenchman.

Arsenal has had a deadline-day tragedy after Tottenham’s own transfer preparations appear to have thwarted a huge departure from the Emirates.

Bellerin has agreed to join Real Betis on loan with the option to buy, according to the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta was hoping to transfer the Spaniard to make room in his squad for others after he fell off the radar at the Emirates.

Bellerin has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal this season, and he is not in the manager’s plans as they try to recruit Bologna star Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Bellerin had received a season-long offer from Real Betis, a club that the Spaniard has already stated as his boyhood club.

Tottenham, according to the Daily Star, has given Betis the chance to sign Aurier, a right-back they are also anxious to offload.

Nuno Espirito Santo has told the Frenchman that he is not part of his plans as he enters the final year of his contract in north London.

Following the signing of Emerson Royal from Barcelona, Aurier will fall even further down the pecking order.

Spurs had initially struggled to find a buyer for Aurier, but they feel they have found one in Real Betis.

Arsenal will be disappointed since their loan agreement with Bellerin will be terminated.

With so many right-backs on their books but none in Arteta’s plans, the Gunners are in a bit of a pickle.

After being marginalized by the Spaniard, Ainsley Maitland-Niles has already expressed his desire to depart.

While Calum Chambers and Bellerin are also unknowns in the position, Cedric Soares remains the sole viable option.

Tomiyasu is a versatile defender who can play both right and center back. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
