Tottenham may have been struck a transfer blow by Manchester United, as Dortmund are planning a bid for Jadon Sancho for a fee.

Tottenham could miss out on a target of their own as a result of Manchester United’s move for Jadon Sancho.

According to rumours, Borussia Dortmund intends to utilize the funds raised from Jadon Sancho’s departure to pursue Tottenham target Noni Madueke. Sancho, who joined Manchester United on a five-year contract earlier this summer, was able to negotiate a £77 million transfer fee with the German heavyweights.

During his four years in Dortmund, the England winger cemented his reputation as one of the league’s most dangerous attackers.

Last season, he contributed 36 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions to help the club qualify for the Champions League and win the DFB-Pokal.

Sancho did not appear for United during the preseason, but he might make his Premier League debut against Leeds United on Saturday.

He became the club’s third-most expensive signing in history, behind only Harry Maguire and Paul Pogba, when he moved to Old Trafford.

Tottenham’s chances of getting PSV striker Madueke, who is said to be on Fabio Paratici’s radar ahead of the new season, appear to have been harmed by United’s decision to spend big on Sancho.

According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Dortmund are attempting to sign the 19-year-old by using their newfound wealth to fund a lucrative approach for his services.

PSV is said to be dealing with’massive interest’ from all across Europe for Madueke, who is one of the Eredivisie’s most prized assets.

He came through Tottenham’s development system before joining PSV in 2018, and the north London club is reportedly keen on bringing him back before the transfer deadline this month.

Dortmund, on the other hand, appears to be in the lead as the competition for Madueke’s signature heats up.

The Bundesliga club is allegedly willing to pay a premium for Sancho, with the teenager’s big-money move allowing them to compete with the market’s other big-hitters.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will be able to leapfrog Dortmund and get Madueke back to London this summer.

The permanent signings of defender Cristian Romero and winger Bryan Gil from Atalanta and Sevilla, respectively, have already been negotiated by Director of Football Paratici.

In the meantime, Romero’s former club teammate Pierluigi Gollini has agreed to a one-year loan agreement to cover for Hugo Lloris. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
