Tottenham are planning a second raid on Leeds United after entering the race to sign Kalvin Phillips.
Spurs have already signed 18-year-old Jack Clarke from the Championship side this summer before sending him back on loan and are now looking to enter a bidding war with Aston Villa for the highly-rated Phillips.
According to The Mirror, Spurs have now set their sights on the midfielder and will be able to offer the 23-year-old a big increase on his current £10,000-a-week wages.
Villa are understood to have offered £20m for Phillips but Leeds want £30m and Marcelo Bielsa is reluctant to lose him.
Newcastle are also said to be keen on the Leeds academy graduate following a stellar campaign that earned him a spot in the EFL Team of the Season.
Phillips is a boyhood Leeds fan and the Yorkshire side are confident he will not push for a move away from the club.
Leeds have offered Phillips a new contract but the versatile midfielder has reportedly rejected their initial offer.
Should Leeds reluctantly sell their rising star, Bielsa will look to bring in Croatia Under-21 international captain Ivan Sunjic.
The 22-year old plays for Dinamo Zagreb who have already fielded an offer from Birmingham City understood to be around £3.5million.
The Whites occupied the automatic promotion spots for much of the season before slipping into the playoffs, where they were beaten by Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
