Tottenham is expected to announce Emerson Royal’s signing after the paperwork is finalized tonight.
Tottenham appears to have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Emerson Royal.
According to reports, Tottenham will sign Emerson Royal from Barcelona today. At the Nou Camp, the Barcelona star has been judged surplus to needs. Real Betis, on the other hand, stands to profit handsomely from any trade.
So far, Tottenham has enjoyed a successful transfer window.
However, they want to bring in a full-back to compete with Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty, who have both struggled for consistency.
And now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are on the verge of signing Emerson, with an announcement coming later today.
On Twitter, he wrote, “Emerson Royal from Barcelona to Tottenham, done deal and here we go confirmed.”
“Spurs added €30 million in add-ons, and paperwork was finished late last night. #THFC

Spurs are now seeking for a new club for Aurier, who has been in and out of the club since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain.
At the time of writing, Genoa has expressed interest in the France international.
But, with time running out, it’s unclear whether they’ll be able to get him into the club.
Aurier has already stated that he will not sign a contract extension with Spurs and has hinted at a desire to return to Paris Saint-Germain, the club from whom he left in 2017.
