This evening, Floyd Mayweather takes on Logan Paul in an exhibition battle, with the former pound-for-pound champion seeking for his second triumph – this time against the YouTube celebrity. When does the Mayweather vs. Paul fight take place tonight? For the boxing battle in Miami, Florida, Express Sport offers all the information you’ll need.
On Sunday night, Floyd Mayweather will face YouTuber Logan Paul in a boxing match. The bout was originally scheduled for February 20, but it was postponed until June 6 so that spectators could return to the arena.
Mayweather has a perfect professional boxing record of 50-0.
Since retiring in 2017, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has competed in a number of lucrative exhibition fights.
YouTuber Paul is his most recent opponent, and he has pledged to defeat “the greatest fighter of all time.”
Paul’s previous two fights had been against YouTube sensation KSI.
Due to their enormous size discrepancies, neither fighter’s professional record will be affected by this battle.
As a result, it was declared an exhibition bout with an eight-round duration.
While each round will last three minutes, there will be no judges to score the competition.
Knockouts are permitted, and a referee will be there to halt the bout if necessary.
From 8 p.m. ET, the undercard will begin (12am UK time, Sunday June 6).
At roughly 10 p.m. ET, Mayweather and Paul are set to take their ring walks (2am UK time, Monday June 7).
In the United Kingdom, Sky Sports Box Office will carry the fight exclusively.
The pay-per-view event will set you back £16.95, which is slightly less than the industry standard.
Paul is six inches taller and has a four-inch reach advantage over Mayweather.
However, Mayweather, 44, has far more boxing experience than the 26-year-old and is predicted to easily dispatch him.
“These YouTube girls better find some Barbie dolls to play with because I’m not the one for kid games,” Mayweather stated when the fight was announced last year.
“Three years ago, a UFC fighter called my name, and I had to put a muzzle on him. Before I go conquer Japan again, Logan Paul can undergo the same treatment.”
