Manchester City are not quite ready to give up on Harry Kane…

Manchester City are reportedly willing to pay £130 million for England captain Harry Kane, plus Bernardo Silva. The Premier League winners are reportedly planning to boost the ante in their pursuit of the 28-year-old, who has stated his desire to leave this summer.

Kane arrived at Tottenham for pre-season training yesterday, although he must isolate for five days before rejoining the main group.

The Spurs talisman will train alone on the private pitches at Hotspur Way while staying in the club’s on-site lodgings.

Kane issued a statement on Friday denying rumours that he had neglected to show up for training in an attempt to force a move to City.

Spurs are expected to receive a new and improved offer for Kane after earlier rejecting a £100 million offer from City.

According to the Daily Mail, City is willing to pay £130 million plus Bernardo Silva for last season’s Premier League Golden Boot winner.

Pep Guardiola has been informed by Bernardo that he wishes to leave the Etihad Stadium.

The offensive midfielder, who has won three Premier League titles, four League Cups, and one FA Cup, is looking for a new challenge.

It’s unknown whether he’d be interested in joining Tottenham, with La Liga understood to be his top choice.

“He’s a member of our team. Not only Bernardo, but there are two or three more players that want to leave, but they are our players, and if they come with an offer and want to leave, we are willing to talk, but it is up to them,” Guardiola said.

“Otherwise, they’ll keep training hard, they’ll stay here, and I’ll determine whether or not they’ll stay.

“Any players who want to leave should know that the door is open because we don’t want anyone to leave unhappy, but they must bring someone with them.”

Arsenal is said to be interested in Bernardo, with Leicester unwilling to compromise on their £60 million asking price for James Maddison.
