GOLF LEGEND Tiger Woods has announced the opening of a second PopStroke course the United States.
The innovative 36-hole centre will be a fun destination for putters of all abilities, from experienced golf fans to families of all ages.
Woods, 44, and his team have designed the centre in Fort Myers, Florida, to incorporate fairways, bunkers and rough – while being made entirely out of synthetic turf.
The exciting entertainment facility will also feature an outdoor dining area and a playground for the kids.
Speaking ahead of the site’s September 12 opening, Woods said: “As a partner in PopStroke, I am excited to use golf and specifically putting to bring families and friends together.
“From competitive putting tournaments to kids playing on the playground, PopStroke really does offer something for all ages.
“Keeping families, kids and skilled putters in mind while building the two putting courses was a fun challenge for myself and my TGR Design team.
“I am proud to be an owner and partner of PopStroke.”
Woods is currently preparing to compete in golf’s US Open next week.
The superstar, who turns 45 in December, has hardly been a factor on the circuit this year – even before the coronavirus pandemic.
But fans will hope that the experienced former champion can produce something special for the event.
And perhaps he has grabbed a round or two at PopStroke to practise his putting.
He’s certainly bound to take his son Charlie at least, with the promising 11-year-old recently proving to be a chip off the old block by winning back-to-back junior tournaments.
