There have been calls for WWE legend Ric Flair to be canceled (again) after he was identified as the host of a Trump-hosted fundraiser.
The celebration will take place at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida.
It intends to raise funds for retired football player Herschel Walker’s Senate candidacy, and will be hosted by World Series champion and ex-MLB pitcher Tom Glavine, as well as Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Doug Flutie.
Walker, who is running on the Republican ticket, expects to face Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock in the 2022 election.

Walker’s campaign has already been dogged by controversy, as he was forced to cancel a separate fundraiser sponsored by a person whose Twitter profile featured a Swastika image used to protest Covid vaccination regulations.
And, as of late, Flair hasn’t shied away from scandal.
Following the airing of a ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ episode that retold the ‘Plane Ride From Hell’ controversy, in which Flair allegedly forced female flight attendant Heidi Doyle to touch his penis on the way back from a European tour with the WWE, he has faced calls for his cancellation, as well as the loss of sponsors like CarShield.
Flair then came out to defend himself and reject the allegations, but he was once again ridiculed on Twitter for his ties to Trump.
One of the most common viewpoints was that it is unsurprising that Flair supports Trump.
“Wait, so Ric Flair — an old Republican with five wives, bankruptcy, sexual misconduct claims and other legal difficulties on his résumé, and unnatural hair on his resume – is a Trump supporter…and y’all are surprised?”
“Trump has been his entire shtick for the past 30 years,” it was also said of Flair’s wrestling character, who claimed to have been born with a golden spoon in his mouth.
Another reaction stated, “As if we needed another reason to cancel Ric Flair.”
So you’re astonished that Ric Flair, an elderly Republican with five wives, bankruptcy, sexual misconduct allegations and other legal issues, and unnatural hair on his record, is a Trump supporter?
Are you surprised that Ric Flair is a Trump supporter? He’s from the state of South Carolina. I suppose if you’re from around here, you simply know.
Is it surprising that Ric Flair is a Trump supporter? Trump has been his entire gimmick for the past 30 years.
Isn’t Flair simply shredding what little respect he had left?
