Real Madrid’s soap opera has taken a new turn as club president Florentino Perez is now dealing with player parents.
Over the past few weeks, an already terrible season has fully collapsed, with violent arguments, physical altercations, and a completely divided dressing room.
Alvaro Carreras was “slapped” by Antonio Rudiger, Federico Valverde and Aurelian Tchouameni engaged in “a very serious fight” that left the Uruguayan with a head injury, and even star player Kylian Mbappe has faced criticism.
According to reports in Spain, parents of two players are now complaining about their sons’ lack of playing time, which presents Perez and struggling manager Alvaro Arbeloa with yet another problem.
Two unidentified stars who are “international players” are at the heart of the dispute, according to Mundo Deportivo via Cadena Cope.
Perez has been under constant pressure from their parents to provide their lads greater opportunities.
Florentino Perez and Alvaro Arbeloa are facing yet another challenge as the parents of two celebrities want their sons to play more.
Even though the development is small, it highlights a chaotic environment at Real where player power, poor management, and anarchy are ripping the legendary club apart.
Following Tchouameni and Valverde’s startling altercation, Real Madrid declared on Thursday that they are initiating disciplinary measures.
After tensions with Tchouameni escalated on Wednesday at the training facility, reports surfaced on Thursday that Valverde had been admitted to the hospital.
Due to a foul committed during the practice, the two players got into a furious confrontation on Wednesday that extended into the dressing room.
However, a day later, tensions remained high, according to Marca, and a fight between the two players was described as “very serious” by several members of the setup.
The altercation was described by the publication’s sources as “much worse” than the previous spat, and it is believed that other teammates of Tchouameni and Valverde interfered before the latter was brought to the hospital.
“Real Madrid C. F. announces that, following the incidents that occurred this morning during the first team’s training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurěen Tchouameni,” the statement said. “The club will provide updates on the resolutions of both proceedings once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed.” Valverde will miss “10 to 14 days” of action due to a head injury, Real Madrid confirmed on Thursday night.
Following their altercation, Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde will be disciplined.
“Our player Fede Valverde has been diagnosed with a cranioencephalic trauma after the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services,” the second statement continued. “Valverde is at home in good condition and will need to rest for 10 to 14 days as indicated by medical protocols for this diagnosis.”
Although he acknowledged that there had been another argument, Valverde later released a long statement denying that he or Tchouameni had punched one another.
The Uruguayan stated that he “accidentally hit a table,” which resulted in his head injuries.
Only two weeks had passed since Rudiger’s “slap” on Carreras during a furious altercation at the training site.
After their 1-1 draw with Real Betis, Rudiger “lost his mind” in the second argument.
Additionally, Mbappe has not been out of the spotlight. According to reports, the 27-year-old got into a furious disagreement with a member of manager Arbeloa’s staff.
Last Saturday, when Real Madrid played Espanyol, Kylian Mbappe and his girlfriend Ester Exposito took a plane to Sardinia.
The assistant, who was officiating a practice game, was the target of Mbappe’s angry and derogatory remarks.
The attitude between Mbappe and Madrid is said to have gotten worse as a result of the incident.
While his teammates are ready to play Barcelona this weekend in El Clasico, where they might lose the La Liga title for the second consecutive season, the injured player was also criticised for having a vacation on a luxury yacht with his new girlfriend, Ester Exposito.
Over 250,000 irate Madrid supporters have signed a petition demanding that Mbappe leave the team after a terrible two seasons after he signed a free agent contract from Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe and Madrid have not won a significant prize during that period.
