Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under a lot of strain ahead of today’s Premier League match at Vicarage Road against Watford.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was rumored to be considering starting Donny van de Beek against Watford earlier this week. Since joining the club from Ajax in the summer of 2020, the Netherlands international has made just four Premier League starts. And Solskjaer’s sudden interest in his pick implies the 48-year-old is starting to panic as he tries to turn things around at Old Trafford.

Way season was not supposed to be like this for United.

The Glazers and Ed Woodward felt Solskjaer had progressed in the years since replacing Jose Mourinho, so they granted him a fresh three-year deal.

And it appears that Solskjaer is about to take another chance in order to keep his job at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian and his coaching staff were debating whether to start Van de Beek against Watford this weekend, according to The Athletic.

The Netherlands international has been working exceptionally hard, especially in the gym, to force his way into his manager’s plans.

And now it appears like Van de Beek’s patience will be rewarded with his first Premier League start of the season.
