The Glazers have given Ole Gunnar Solskjaer their complete support as he signs a new £25 million deal with Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s contract at Old Trafford will be extended until 2024.

Manchester United has extended Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s contract for another two years, keeping him at the club until 2024. The former Red Devils striker joined the club in 2018, and despite the fact that he has yet to win a trophy, the board is said to be pleased with the path the club is taking.

Solskjaer has had a busy summer thus far, having just completed the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

It might get much better with Raphael Varane in advanced talks to join the club, as the manager could have a fresh and improved squad to fight for trophies next season.

Solskjaer has led United to a third-place finish in his first full season in command since joining in 2018.

Despite finishing second last season, Liverpool was still 12 points behind Manchester City.

Arsenal are getting closer to signing Tammy Abraham from Chelsea, as the Gunners prepare to satisfy their demands.

The fact that Solskjaer has not won a trophy since taking over as United manager had been drawing attention, especially after their Europa League final loss to Villarreal in May.

The 48-year-old came so close to winning his first game as United manager, but they were beaten in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Over the last three seasons, Solskjaer has spent over £360 million on transfers in an attempt to resurrect the club’s glory years under Sir Alex Ferguson.

With Paul Pogba said to be leaving this summer, the Norwegian may be able to spend even more money on the transfer market in order to develop a team in his own image.

“Everyone knows the feeling I have for this club, and I am thrilled to have signed this new contract,” Solskjaer said on the club’s official website.

“We have constructed a squad with a nice combination of youth and experienced players who are eager for success, and it is an exciting time for Manchester United.

“I am surrounded by a terrific coaching team, and we are all eager to tackle the next step in our adventure.

“Manchester United aspires to win the greatest and best trophies, and that is what we all want to do.

“We’ve progressed both on and off the field,” says Brinkwire Summary News.
