The Cyprus Showdown title is taken by Robert MacIntyre with a brilliant clutch finish.


Robert MacIntyre of Scotland created a brilliant finish at the Cyprus Showdown to win his first European Tour title. MacIntyre birded four of his last six holes at Aphrodite Hills to finish seven under par (64) and one shot ahead of Masahiro Kawamura of Japan.

An emotional MacIntyre told Sky Sports, “This is what I’ve been working for. It’s been a difficult few months for me, only my family know what’s been going on. I can’t believe it.”
